Product Description Rewriter

Lives on SEO Tools → Content tab. Paste a product handle (e.g. best-creatine-monohydrate); RankEngine AI generates a 200-500 word benefit-led rewrite + 5 separate benefit bullets in your brand voice (when configured).

Inputs

• Handle — the product's URL slug
• Focus keyword (optional) — appears 2-4 times naturally in the rewrite
• Target words — 150-600, defaults 250

Output

• Rewrite — plain prose paragraphs (2-5), benefit-led opening, no markdown
• Benefit bullets — 5 scannable bullets that complement the prose
• Brand voice badge — shown when your fingerprint applied to the output

Apply to Shopify (one-click)

After generating, the "Apply to Shopify product" button performs:

1. Snapshot — current body_html saved to seo_backup_runs so the merchant can revert via fix history
2. Mutate — productUpdate writes the new description
3. Verify — re-fetches via Shopify GraphQL and confirms the snippet matches (per CLAUDE.md Known Issue #17)
4. Cache — local store_resources updated

UI shows ✓ Verified or "Applied but unverified — recheck shortly" depending on the verification result. The verifyFix re-fetch can occasionally lag the write by 1-2 seconds on Shopify's side; if unverified, recheck the product page.

Fact-preservation rule

The prompt explicitly bans fabricated certifications, percentages, scientific claims, and comparisons not supported by the current description. The rewrite preserves every factual claim in the input. If the current description is empty, the AI works only from the title + tags.

Brand voice

When the shop has a shop_brand_voice fingerprint (configure via Content Studio → Brand Voice Studio), the AI prompt receives a clause covering tonality + vocabulary hints + signature phrases + ban list. Output matches the merchant's existing content voice.
