Plans and Billing
RankEngine has two plans. Both are billed through Shopify, monthly or yearly, and both start with a 3-day free trial. There is no free plan.

Monthly or yearly
The plan picker has a Monthly / Yearly switch. Yearly is the same plan at 20% off twelve monthly payments, billed once a year by Shopify: Basic is $182.40 a year and Pro is $566.40 a year. The limits are identical; only the billing period and price change. Stores on Starter or Growth are billed monthly only.
The 3-day free trial
- Open Billing and choose Basic or Pro.
- Shopify asks you to approve the plan. Approving starts the 3-day free trial, which Shopify runs.
- You are not charged during the trial. If you cancel before it ends, you pay nothing.
- When the trial ends, Shopify starts billing the plan on your normal Shopify invoice: monthly, or the full year at once if you chose Yearly.
A store without an active plan or trial sees the plan picker instead of the app's tools.
Starter and Growth (existing stores only)
Stores that were already on Starter ($9.99/mo) or Growth ($24.99/mo) keep their plan and price. Those plans are no longer offered to new stores.
Changing plans
- Billing tab → pick Monthly or Yearly, then click the plan you want.
- Review the price and features, then confirm.
- Shopify's billing page asks you to approve the change.
- Approve → return to RankEngine. The plan card updates within seconds.
Cancelling
Cancel anytime from your Shopify admin (Settings → Billing), or by uninstalling the app. There are no contracts. After cancelling, RankEngine shows the plan picker until you choose a plan again.
What if I change my mind?
Choose a plan again from Billing. While the app stays installed, your scan history and settings are kept; only the active plan changes.
Refunds
Shopify Billing doesn't natively support partial-period refunds for app subscriptions. For exceptional cases (accidental upgrade, billing error), email RankEngine support within 7 days. We process refunds via Shopify's developer support channel.
